Frequently asked questions

Before your stucco estimate

How do I request a Niagara stucco or EIFS estimate?

Use the homepage quote form, call (905) 687-6470 or email info@cityplasters.ca with your project details. Include the Niagara location, service needed, photos or available drawings and preferred timing. We review the enquiry and discuss any site assessment needed to confirm preparation, the assembly and access before the work is agreed.

Which photos are most useful for a repair enquiry?

Send a full view of the elevation, a medium-distance photo locating the problem and close-ups of cracks, staining or loose material. Include approximate dimensions, the building height and any earlier repairs or leaks. Avoid sending only an isolated close-up: the surrounding openings, roof connections and wall boundaries can be important to understanding the problem.

What should I send for a new installation or addition?

Share available elevations, drawings and wall specifications, the Niagara address, dimensions and reference images for the finish you want. Note changes to windows, doors or existing cladding, along with access restrictions and preferred timing. The system, insulation and interface details need review alongside the visual preference before an installation scope can be established.

Can you confirm the complete scope from photos alone?

Photographs help the initial review, but they cannot reliably show the bond of coatings, moisture behind the finish or concealed substrate condition. A site visit may be needed, and some damaged areas may need further investigation. We distinguish what can be reviewed initially from conditions that remain unconfirmed rather than assume a visible patch is the whole repair.

Is an estimate appointment the same as a work start date?

No. An estimate appointment is for reviewing the property and discussing the proposed work. Installation or repair scheduling depends on the agreed scope, materials, access, current schedule and suitable weather. Confirm the work sequence separately before making arrangements for the crew or changing access to the property.

What access information should I mention?

Tell us about upper-storey walls, narrow side yards, decks, slopes, overhead obstructions and space for scaffolding or equipment. For commercial buildings, include entrances, parking, deliveries and occupancy restrictions. Photos showing the route to the work area are helpful. Access can affect both the site review and the eventual sequence of exterior work.

What if I am unsure which stucco service I need?

Describe what you see and what you want to change. Cracks, peeling foundation finish, faded colour and a new insulated exterior call for different assessments. Send overview photos and any history of leaks or previous work. We can discuss the relevant service and what needs review before deciding between repair, recoating, parging or installation.
